  6. THE ROBE OF EPHOD.

  8. Symbol of office and authority - worn only by High Priest.  Robe appears for
  9. first time with High Priest.

  11. THE ROBE.

  13. 1.  All of Blue. (v.31) speaks of:-

  15.      (a)  ministry of Holy Spirit.
  16.      (b)  heavenly character of our great High Priest, Heb.4:14 passed into
  17.           heavens.
  18.           Heavenly ministry (Heb.9:24) now.

  20. 2.   Seamless Garment. (v.32)Christ's life had no beginning and no end.  John
  21.      13:3-4.

  23. 3.   Not Rent.  Many try to say He is just a man but the truth of Christ is
  24.      unable to be rent by any attack.

  26. POMEGRANATE.
  27.  
  28. The fruit consists of hundreds of juicy white and purple seeds packed together
  29. with white partition as an orange.  The seeds are bathed in red; floating in
  30. crimson liquid.  The juice of the seeds made into wine; rind used for medicine
  31. and tanning hides.

  33. FRUIT GOES INTO THE HOLY PLACE.

  35. Ex.28:35. High Priest went into the Holy Place - type of Jesus going into the
  36. heavenly sanctuary.  On the Day of Pentecost the High Priest's sound (bells)
  37. was heard.  This was proof that he had entered.  The fruit was seen in the
  38. multitude that was saved.  His sound and His fruit will be even more glorious
  39. when He comes out......... second coming.

  41. A FRUIT FROM CANAAN.

  43. Num.13:23 - This is where the believer is to dwell, i.e. in the Promised Land.
  44. This is the place of

  46. 1.   Fruitfulness.
  47. 2.   Warfare.
  48. 3.   Possessing of our inheritance till all is possessed.

  50. TEMPLE.

  52. 1 Kings 7:20-21. 400 pomegranates engraved on top of brazen pillar.  These two
  53. pillars are named:-

  55. Jachin - "he shall establish" and Boaz - "in it is strength".
  56. Song of Solomon 4:13.  Bride as a pomegranate - fruitful and beautiful.

  58. THE EPHOD.

  60. Ex.28:6-7, 39:1-5, Lev.8:7, 1 Sam.30:7, Hos.3:4.
  61. Ephod - Curious Girdle - Breastplate all inseparable.
  62. Ephod was foundation garment for bearing the Names of Israel.

  64. Gold      Ex.39:3 (speaks of Deity, Perfection, Righteousness, Glory as
  65.           seen in Christ).
  66.           ++ worked into every colour - giving firmness, strength,
  67.           beauty.39:3.
  68.           ++nothing alters Gold.  Does not deteriorate.  Acid will not
  69.           destroy it. Fire will not burn it, only purify.  True expression of
  70.           the Godhead.
  71.           ++look at the Gold in Christ's earthly life.
  72.           We beheld His Glory.  John 1:14.
  73.           On the Mount of Transfiguration.
  74.           Lazarus coming forth from the dead.
  75.           All will fade away but thou remainest.  Heb.1:11-12.

  77. Blue      (speaks of the one come down from Heaven.  Also of the Holy Spirit.
  78.           Jesus born, baptised, ministered, offered Himself, arose from the
  79.           dead, all by the Spirit).

  81. Scarlet   (speaks of Jesus becoming man) speaks of earth.
  82.           ++Adam means - "red earth" out of this he was made.
  83.           ++Esau - man of the earth, carnal.  Red and hairy, Sold birth for
  84.           red lentils.  Gen.25:25.
  85.           ++Scarlet - "cochineal" which means scarlet worm.  Jesus humbled
  86.           Himself, made in likeness of man.  Phil.2:6-8.
  87.           ++Blue and red are opposites.  Blue above - Red beneath Christ from
  88.           above made in likeness of man.
  89.  
  90. Purple    (speaks of Jesus becoming not only King but our mediator between
  91.           Man (scarlet) and God (blue).
  92.           ++ Purple is blending of blue and scarlet.  Christ made in likeness
  93.           of man that He might bring man back to God.
  94.  
  95. FINE TWINED LINEN - essence of His Righteousness apart from which He never
  96. could have become a Mediator and Priest.
